Greetings from india 5 Months ago Karma: 0
hi,
My name is vinod and i am from chennai in india. I am a freelance consultant working with Short range wireless devices for 8+ years. Initially i was fiddling with OOK based basic devices in 4XX band. Then as technology progressed i was also working with ADI AF72XX based devices. personally so far they have given me the best performances. TI also is good but performance is not that great. I am here to share my knowledge and gain knowledge from like minded people across the world. I myself had a feeling to initiate a freeware stack in zibgee and was more than happy to see someone who has already initiated it and feel great to be part of it. Now i have started my love affair with atmel zigbee devices due to their sheer performance numbers. I am now developing an atmel at86rf212 module with atmega1284P device for sub 1GHZ band zigbee.
I also intend to help out similar minded people who may need knowledge in the RF area related to SRD bands.
CHEERS
Vinod

Thanks for the post. It's nice to have someone familiar with different radios on this site. I haven't played with the ADF72xx radios but they look pretty interesting. The Atmel 802.15.4 radios do indeed have very good performance so I would recommend them.

Glad to hear that you're also interested in making open source software for WSN. There are so many things that need to be built out that its mind boggling
